The Face

The Face

During the late 1990s, Suburbia’s creative directors, Lee and Stuart, reshaped the visual identity of the iconic style magazine The Face. Under their direction, the publication was revitalised and became a source of cutting edge image-making where fashion, youth culture, and visual experimentation collided.

They fostered a new generation of image-makers and photographers, encouraging fresh and unconventional interpretations of fashion, often using emerging digital processes. With bold contemporary visual narratives, uncompromising creative standards, and a progressive point of view, they shaped some of the most defining moments in fashion history.
